MAKEUP KITTY REVIEWS BORGHESE FANGO ACTIVE MUD

Borghese Fango Active Mud
Borghese Fango Active Mud

What’s in it: Ingredients in this mineral-enriched mud mask are harvested from volcanic hills of Tuscany. It contains: Water (Aqua), Bentonite (CI 77004), Iron Oxides (CI 77491, CI77492), Propylene Glycol, Talc, Chromium Oxide Greens (CI77288), Phenoxyethanol, Solum Fullonum, Magnesium Aluminum Silicate, Cellulose Gum, Hydroxyethylcellulose, Polysorbate 20, Sweet Almond (Prunus Amygdalus Dulcis) Oil, Avocado (Persea Gratissima) Oil, Geranium Maculatum Oil, Lavender (Lavandula Angustifolia) Oil, Peppermint (Mentha Piperita) Oil, Mineral Salts, Sea Salt (Maris Sal), Adenosine Triphosphate, Collagen Amino Acids, Gl.

How to use: Apply in a thick (about ¼ inch) layer to clean skin, avoiding lip and eye area. Leave on for 5 to 10 minutes. Rinse off thoroughly with warm water, using sponge or washcloth.

What it does: This rich mud mask moisturized, nourished and detoxified Makeup Kitty’s dry, sensitive skin. In our opinion, this is one of the best-smelling mud remedies on the market today. The product’s scent and texture made Makeup Kitty feel as though she was receiving this treatment in a luxurious spa.

The thicker you apply the mask to the skin, the better its effect. If applied too thin, it will simply dry out and crack on your face. Use a thick layer (at least quarter of an inch), carefully avoiding areas around your eyes and lips. After the mask was removed with a wet cloth, Makeup Kitty’s fine lines seemed plumped up and skin had a radiant rosy glow, felt refreshed, invigorated and squeaky clean. It was prepped and ready for its nightly serum, which seemed to absorb better than usual.

Several variations of this mask are available, which will allow you to select the right kind for your type of skin. In hindsight, perhaps Fango Delicato would have been a better choice for Makeup Kitty’s skin, but we were pleased with the original formulation.

This product is available in a squeeze tube, as well as a jar. Makeup Kitty recommends getting it in a jar, which will enable you to add a few drops of water to re-moisten the mud, when it starts to dry out. Squeeze tube wouldn’t allow for this option and therefore isn’t as convenient.

Makeup Kitty’s rating: (5 out of 5)

Where to buy: Borghese

How much does it cost: $66.00 for 17.6 oz
