Makeup Kitty was enchanted by Chanel Illusion D’Ombre eyeshadows from the first touch! Their texture was silky and fluffy, as though they were comprised of airy clouds, silk and glimmering MAC pigments, whipped together into this heavenly concoction. Shadows applied slightly unevenly, but smudged smoothly and beautifully. These innovative shadows come with their own, specially designed brush.
Fantasme produced silvery white glimmer. Light-colored base faded slightly after 2 hours, but the shimmer remained. There was some fallout of glimmering particles, but it was minimal.
Ebloui produced beautiful plummy mauve shimmer, which did not fade after hours of wear.
Apparence (limited edition) produced a sophisticated gilded sheen that faded slightly after several hours.
Emerveille produced gorgeous shade of gilded rosy pink that remained on the skin without fading or fallout (Makeup Kitty’s favorite shade of the bunch, even though Fantasme was initially in the lead).
Epatant produced a gilded mossy green that was neither too dark, nor too light. It remained on the skin for hours, without fading.
Illusoire is a gorgeous silvery taupe, smoky and shimmery. It did not fade or crease for over 6 hours.
